Tharavadu Mill Hill: Ex-Leeds United promotion-winning manager Simon Grayson visits top Keralan restaurant
A former Leeds United promotion-winning manager has paid a visit to a top Indian restaurant in Leeds.
Simon Grayson visited Tharavadu, in Mill Hill, last week (September 26) for a meal, accompanied by Chris Edwards, bassist of rock band Kasabian.
The former manager, who took reins of Elland Road in 2008, tried - and enjoyed - Meen Pollichathu, a traditional spiced fish delicacy, which he paired with paratha.
Speaking to the owners and staff members, the former manager revealed his deep appreciation for South Indian and Keralan cuisine that developed during his time managing Bengaluru FC.
During his visit, he also took time to interact with fellow diners, pose for pictures and shared more stories of his love for Keralan cuisine.

Mr Prakash, co-founder of Tharavadu, said: “We were thrilled to have Simon and Chris at Tharavadu today.
“It’s always special when guests with such a deep connection to Kerala cuisine visit us, and we’re glad Simon enjoyed his experience.”
Tharavadu opened its doors in Leeds city centre a decade ago and the award-winning restaurant has been visited by a number of celebrities over the years.
The list includes captain of the Indian cricket team Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, who named it their favourite restaurant in Leeds.
More recently, Tharavadu was visited by Leeds diver Jack Laugher, who represented Team GB at the Paris Olympics 2024.
