Nicola Adams’ girlfriend Ella Baig posts breastfeeding snap as she shares experience of being a first time mum

Nicola Adams’ girlfriend Ella Baig has admitted that there are aspects of breastfeeding that she was not prepared for.

The model, 23, and Leeds-born former boxer Nicola, 40, welcomed Taylor Nate Adams in July, after three grueling rounds of IVF and two heartbreaking miscarriages.

ITVBe releseased a documentary about the pairs IVF journey titled ‘Nicola Adams: Me and IVF’ last month, in which Nicola and Ella spoke candidly about the struggle they went through to find a “black donor”.

Ella didn’t know that Nicola had won two Olympic gold medals, when they met outside a nightclub in 2018.

She sparked a discussion about breastfeeding their son with her Instagram followers yesterday.

Posting on her story, Ella asked: “What part of breastfeeding were you not prepared for?”

The mother-of-one agreed with most of the answers given by fellow parents, with the first response saying “the leaks” and Ella posting a photo of milk coming from her breast.

A few fans said they were not prepared for cluster feeding, which Ella agreed “feels never ending”, whilst another added that they were not prepared for teeth to which Ella shared that Taylor has started teething.

One follower said they were not prepared for the extra tiredness that comes with breastfeeding, adding that they would fall “asleep during night feeds”.

Ella shared the mum’s response, while asking her other followers: “How many calories do you think breastfeeding burns?”. The answer is between 500 and 700.

“The hideous pain when my milk first came in, boobs like boulders” - to which Ella shared a risque picture with her breasts looking larger than normal,” one wrote.

Nicola and Ella made their first red carpet appearance since the birth of Taylor at the Pride of Britain Awards late last month, where Nicola co-presented the Lionesses with their Inspiration award.

At the ceremony, Nicola was quick to tell OK! Magazine that the couple plan to have more children.

Nicola said: "We do definitely want another - don’t get me wrong, we’re only just getting used to the one we’ve got, but we’re loving it so we’d definitely want more in the future."
