There is a never-ending list of things to do and see in this area of Leeds, from dining out at some award-winning independent restaurants and enjoying a pint at a local boozer to browsing a monthly market.
It was actually named one of the top ten places to live in the north of England by the Sunday Times a few years ago, albeit losing out to Ilkley for the top spot.
The judges called it their “favourite corner of Leeds” before commending the high street packed with independent businesses such as De Baga, George and Joseph Cheesemongers and the Little Bookshop.
Here is the ultimate guide to Chapel Allerton with all the things you need to do, places you need to see and restaurants and bars you need to visit when in the Leeds suburb.

16. The Three Hulats
Also on Harrogate Road, you’ll find a Wetherspoon. The site itself has a long history as a public house but as a ‘Spoons, you’ll find no surprises here. It does boast a huge outdoor seating area, which is always the perfect addition for sunnier days | National World Photo: National World

17. Seven Arts
Also on Harrogate Road, Seven Arts is a performing arts theatre showing film, theatre, dance, music, spoken word and comedy with an onsite cafe/bar. The venue may be small - with 100 seat capacity - but there’s always something happening here and you’d regret not visiting when in the area. | Jonathan Gawthorpe Photo: Jonathan Gawthorpe

18. Aagrah
Aagrah is one of the city’s most popular Indian restaurants - and it’s in Harrogate Road. The Yorkshire-based chain serves dishes from India and Pakistan, which have always been a hit with local residents and people who travel from the other side of the city to visit. | Jonathan Gawthorpe Photo: Jonathan Gawthorpe
