Jack Harrison’s situation at Everton is a ‘mess’, says pundit Don Goodman. The Leeds United winger is on loan at Goodison Park from the Whites but has seen his game time dry up recently.
It seems unlikely at this stage that the Toffees will be signing him on a permanent basis anytime soon. Therefore, a return to Elland Road next summer could be on the cards.

Goodman has said, as per MOT Leeds News: “The contract scenario came under the previous regime – they handed out crazy contracts and that left the club in trouble when they went down. It’s another example of the previous regime’s inadequacy really. They’re literally throwing money down the drain if this scenario happens. You cannot blame anyone at the club right now for that.
“Jack Harrison is fighting some quality players at Everton and that’s not easy. At this moment he’s not really winning that battle. It looks like even he himself may be in a bit of turmoil if it’s a season’s loan and he’s not playing – he’s kind of stuck unless he can find another Premier League club to take him on loan, so it’s a mess all around really.”
Leeds United contract latest
Harrison’s contract at Leeds expires in June 2028 meaning he still has loads of time left on his deal with his parent club. He first linked up with the Whites on loan back in 2018.
The ex-England youth international spent time as a youngster at both Liverpool and Manchester United before moving over to America. He worked his way up the college system before breaking into the first-team at New York City.

Harrison has made 206 appearances for the Yorkshire outfit to date and has scored 34 goals. He was loaned out to Everton last year following their relegation to the Championship and linked back up with Sean Dyche’s side this past summer.
He said: "It's brilliant to be back. Everton is a great club, there is a fantastic group of lads here and I'm excited to get started again with a full pre-season of training.
"There are a lot of reasons for wanting to return to Everton. I think the club in general - the fans, the staff, the manager, my team-mates - everyone made me feel really comfortable right away and thats somewhere you want to be as a player. It's a great place to play football.
