Numerous bus diversions and roadworks are set to remain in place across Leeds this week.

City services will continue to face heavy disruption this week as Wellington Street eastbound remains shut. The key route, which runs along past Leeds station, is closed due to roadworks until Friday, September 29. As a result bus services 4, 4F, 15, 16, 16A, 33, 34, 42, 60, 81, 229, 254, 255, 508, A1 & X11 will all be affected.

Buses will not be stopping at Wellington M (45013213) on Whitehall Road for the duration of the works. Overnight closures along Thirsk Row, Wellington Street, King Street and Quebec Street will be lifted however, following the completion of City Square surfacing works.

From today (September 18), Weetwood Lane will be closed for roadworks from 9.30am to 15.30pm each day. Service 28 will divert via Otley Road, Hollin Road and Weetwood Lane. In Wakefield city centre, Dewsbury Road, Broadway Junction will remain closed for resurfacing works until Wednesday, September 27. 8pm-6am each evening. Service 122 will divert via Dewsbury Road.

In a welcome boost, services 29, 110, 141, 168 & 446 will return to their normal routes this week after bridge works on Duke Street in Leeds city centre were completed. Westerton Road, East Ardsley will reopen from Tuesday.
