Cambrian Terrace Holbeck: Police in Leeds arrest two men after teenage boy shot and stabbed in street

Two men have been arrested after a teenage boy was shot and stabbed in Leeds.

The 16-year-old was found in the early hours of October 13 on Cambrian Terrace in Holbeck with both machete and gunshot wounds.

In an update today (October 23), West Yorkshire Police confirmed that detectives have arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of a number of offences, including attempt murder and possession of a firearm.

Another man, aged 46, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both men are currently in police custody.

The arrests follow the execution of search warrants at Cottingley Springs travellers site, on Gelderd Road, in the early hours of this morning.

Meanwhile, the force is continuing to investigate the incident on Cambrian Terrace, in which police said the victim was attacked by a group of men.

His injuries were not considered life threatening and he was released from hospital after treatment.

The victim was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in relation to the incident and has since been released on conditional bail.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed any part of the incident or who has any relevant dashcam or doorbell footage that could assist the investigation.
