As the weather warms up, it’s time to put on our shades and head out for a cocktail or a pint, and a beer garden is the perfect choice.
Fortunately, Leeds offers a wide selection of beer gardens and roof terraces, from the suburbs to the city centre.
This week, we have compiled a list of 15 of the best beer gardens in Leeds to enjoy a drink this summer along with what previous visitors had to say on Google.

13. Duck & Drake, Kirkgate
Graham Spencer had this to say about this popular city centre watering hole: "Great selections of beers. When the weather allows the beer garden out the back is a lovely place to sit. Lots of bands on at the weekends in the evening." | Tony Johnson

14. Canalside walks - and a pint at the end
Enjoy a pint at this beloved canalside pub this summer. Reviewer Ashleigh Davey said: "Water Lane is a great place to enjoy a pint and watch the world go by. Situated right on the Leeds-Liverpool canal, there's a lovely beer garden next to the water to relax with a drink or have some dinner. The food is decent (the truffle fries are particularly decadent) but the wait times for the food can be a bit long. Overall, the prices are decent and it's a great place for some low-key drinks with friends." | Gary Longbottom

15. The Midnight Bell
The Midnight Bell, in Holbeck, is one of the best rated pubs in Leeds for fish and chips according to TripAdvisor reviews. A customer at The Midnight Bell said: "Gorgeous food, great ambience, good spot for couples. Staff are lovely. Some excellent tables for two upstairs which really single this place out." 16. The Midnight Bell, Water Lane
Emma Kupo said this about the Midnight Bell: "This is a cosy pub with calm lighting in a reasonable location at the bottom of the city centre. The food is very nice here and they brew their own beer called the Midnight Bell which is worth a try. The staff here are very friendly and the beer garden is popular in summer." | George W/Google
