Murgatroyd's Fish and Chip takeaway and restaurant stands on the corner between Yeadon High Street and Victoria Avenue on the site once occupied by Moorfield Mill, a woollen mill under the ownership of William Murgatroyd, better known locally as 'Billy Murg'.
