Situated in Pontefract town centre, close to the city of Wakefield and nearby towns such as Castleford and Featherstone, the Barley Mow Hotel has been listed for sale by Sidney Phillips Ltd.

The ad listing said: “A unique opportunity to lease a late-night bar with letting rooms and huge potential.

“The Barley Mow Hotel occupies a three-story terraced building of brick construction under a pitched tile roof. The business is currently not trading; however, it is in a popular location and could be a very busy pub.”

Pontefract is easily accessed via the A1M and M62, which provide fast road access to York, Leeds and Manchester.

The hotel and bar has previously been listed as three stars on TripAdvisor with guests describing it as “clean and cosy.”

It is listed for sale at a reduced price of £55,000. Annual turnover and net profits have not been disclosed.
