Libations Rum is preparing to return to the city centre for a second time, with a pop-up store due to open at Victoria Quarter this week.
The company was founded in Leeds in 2019 and spent six months developing its award-winning Spiced Rum. The first batch of 250 bottles sold out within 96 hours and it is now stocked in a number of Morrisons stores in the city.

Hide AdAhead of the pop-up shop’s opening, co-founder Rory Armstrong said: “Having a presence in the local area is something hugely important. In a digital world, we found it fantastic to go back to basics and connect with customers old and new face-to-face, it’s hugely rewarding”.

Chloe Potter, another of the co-founders, added: “Operating a physical location presents a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with other local businesses.”
Libations Rum has previously teamed up with SW Botanicals to create a bespoke scent inspired by the company’s rum and is doing so again this year. It is also planning a partnership with confectionery business The Marshmallowist and is continuing to offer its Drinks at Home cocktail sets alongside Farsley-based Canvas Bar.
Meanwhile, work is progressing on plans for Libations Rum to open its own distillery. Chloe said it will allow Libations to “innovate at a much quicker rate with limited release runs and ultimately help customers get closer and more familiar with what we’re about”.
The pop-up store will open from Friday November 4 until Friday December 23.
