Sue Ryder launches brand new Brontë Pub Walk in Haworth
Sue Ryder is inviting people from across West Yorkshire to take part in the first ever Brontë Pub Walk, a brand‑new event set in the stunning countryside that inspired the world‑famous Brontë sisters.
Sponsored by Bulloughs Cleaning Services, the event - taking place on Saturday August 15 at 11am - offers a choice of five or ten‑mile routes, each featuring a series of charming refreshment stops.

Walkers will take in Stanbury, Ponden and the outskirts of Oakworth before finishing on the iconic Haworth Main Street.
With eight refreshment points on the full route and six on the shorter route, the Brontë Pub Walk is designed to be a relaxed, social day out, perfect for families, groups of friends and workplace teams.
Adam Brunskill, Regional Fundraising Team Leader at Sue Ryder, said: “We’re really excited to launch the very first Brontë Pub Walk, off the back of the success of the recent Wharfedale Pub Walk.
"It’s a brilliant new way for people to come together, enjoy the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and support Sue Ryder’s expert, compassionate care.
"Whether you take on the five‑mile or ten‑mile route, we’d love to see families, friends and colleagues joining us for what promises to be a fantastic day.”
Sue Ryder, which runs Wheatfields Hospice in Headingley, Leeds, supports people who are approaching the end of their life or living with grief.
The route is self‑guided but clearly marked, and walkers are responsible for themselves at all times.
Entry fees are: Adults £18, Under 18s £8, or £45 for a family ticket (two adults, two children). Everyone who registers online before 1 August will also receive a free Brontë Pub Walk t‑shirt.
