Leeds dealer found with £47k worth of drugs at home he shared with his three children

It is estimated that up to £70,000 of drugs passed through the supply line

A Leeds dealer has been jailed after he was found with over £47,000 worth of drugs at the home he shared with his three children.

Kemmet Cohen was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court after pleading guilty to the supply of Class A and Class B drugs.

The court heard how police twice raided the property he shared with his partner and three children, where they discovered a large supply of cocaine and heroin.

Prosecutor Oliver Connor detailed how during the first raid in March 2025 officers uncovered £855 in cash, a number of scales, grip sealed bags and £47,000 worth of the drugs.

During the second raid, carried out in July 2026 while Cohen was on police bail, they recovered three mobile phones with messages indicating drug dealing and a zombie-style knife.

It is estimated that between £47,000 and £70,000 worth of drugs passed through the defendant’s supply line, Mr Connor told the court.

The 33-year-old, of Boggart Hill Drive, Seacroft, has 12 convictions from 33 previous offences - with many related to the possession and supply of drugs.

In mitigation, defence counsel Erin Kitson-Parker told the court how Cohen had built up a drug debt and began supplying after becoming frightened for his family’s safety.

She added that her client understands he only has himself to blame and is trying to “better himself” by becoming a listener in prison and helped to talk down a suicidal inmate.

Judge Neil Clark sentenced him to four years and two months in prison.

“If you are arrested for this again then I will have no option but to give you seven years for a third strike,” he warned Cohen.
