Christmas is just a few months away, with Leeds city centre’s beloved ice rink and market stalls set to return to bring festive cheer in late November.

Ice Cube returns to three festive locations, with exciting attractions for all aces, including the ever-popular outdoor ice rink, market stalls and an array of seasonal attractions.

The centrepiece of the daily event is the 400 square metre outdoor covered ice rink on Millennium Square, sheltered under its transparent marquee, ensuring skating season isn't affected by the weather.

Returning in 2024 is the Penguin Club, offering children under the age of nine a chance to learn to skate in a fun and safe environment with the assistance of penguin skating aids. The club runs every weekend at 10.30am, with additional sessions available during half-term.

Aspiring skaters can also sign up for one-to-one skating lessons available on the weekends, whilst wheelchair users and other disabled persons are welcome across all skating sessions as well as dedicated accessible sessions every Thursday at 10.30am.

In addition to the ice rink, visitors can enjoy an array of festive treats, with Bavarian-style market stalls offering German bratwurst, Yorkshire pudding wraps, Canadian poutine, Philly Cheesesteak with a festive twist and much more.

The alpine-inspired Ski Bar is also coming back with its signature illuminated Ski Bear, reaching four metres high, where warm and cold drinks are served.

In addition to all that, festive rides will be back, including the 30 metre-high Starflyer on Millennium Square, the Golden Gallopers carousel on Cookridge Street and the 110ft Leeds Wheel of Light in Victoria Gardens.

Roger Tuby of International Funfairs, who along with Stewart Robinson will be bringing a selection of rides and attractions for the event, said: "We are excited to be working in close partnership with Leeds City Council once again to bring a magical winter wonderland feel to the city. With the return of the popular themed Ski bar and a fantastic selection of food, drink, and rides, there's truly something for everyone to enjoy this holiday season."

Ice Cube at Christmas will run alongside and compliment the revamped Leeds Christmas Market and will be open daily (except for Christmas and Boxing Day) from November 22 until New Year's Eve.
