Emmerdale fans were left in tears after watching heartbreaking scenes of Liv Dingle’s death, as the storm took another victim on Wednesday night.

Liv and her husband Vinny were caught in the storm on their way to help Paddy at the Woolpack. In shocking scenes, a caravan blew over trapping the couple underneath.

Vinny was able to escape and call for help, however when the paramedics finally arrived they told Vinny and Liv’s brother Aaron there was nothing they could do and they should say their goodbyes.

A tearful and distraught Vinny told Liv that wherever they go next they will be together and they are soulmates, as her eyes closed and she passed away.

A third added: “Why couldn’t Emmerdale just let Liv leave with Aaron instead of killing her off”

Isobel Steele, 21, from Manchester, has been playing Aaron Dingle’s half-sister Liv since 2016. The troubled teenager was the first asexual character to be played on a soap.

Isobel told The Mirror that she was “very proud” of how Liv’s death scene was captured, as grief can be difficult for people to cope with.

Isobel said: “I am very proud of the way we’ve filmed these heartbreaking scenes and they are some of the best I have ever been involved in on the soap, but it has also been very emotional.

“It felt so real and as if I was actually dying and saying my final goodbyes. I was genuinely really upset because I knew I was leaving for good.

“I didn’t have to pretend to cry because I was crying anyway. We were all emotional.”

In the video, Isobel said: “I hope it made you cry, I definitely cried when I read it and it’s been a pleasure. It’s been the best seven years of my life .”

The video ended with a skit of Bradley Johnson, who plays Vinny, asking Isobel for her ITV pass back and for her to leave.
