While the line-up looked solid on paper, the road to Bramham Park was famously bumpy.
Shortly after the first announcement, a major logistical swap saw Feeder and Yeah Yeah Yeahs switch days, a move that sent fans scrambling to reorganise their weekend plans.
The bill also faced a string of high-profile cancellations; Audioslave and The Shins both pulled out, while the emo contingent took a hit when From First to Last (featuring a pre-Skrillex Sonny Moore) and Paramore both withdrew due to their lead singers' throat issues.
Despite the dropouts, the weekend was packed with unique moments, such as Flogging Molly pulling double duty by playing sets in both the punk tent and on the main stage.
For those lucky enough to attend, the price of admission for this slice of music history was just £135 for a weekend ticket or £60 for a day pass; figures that feel like a distant memory in today's touring climate.
