Two of the UKs best known pop-rock bands are coming to Leeds next year for a “competitive” co-headline show.

Known for their high-energy high school post-punk, Busted and McFly both scored several chart-topping hits over the last two decades - and even joined forces briefly under the moniker McBusted.

The competitive spirit of the tour comes from the two bands' playful jabs at each other throughout the year, with McFly saying about the tour: “Busted gate crashed our show (not cool), and challenged us to a VS tour next year.

“They’re old men now, and we are gonna blow them and their carers off the stage next year. We’ve had a great time celebrating our 21st birthday this week and next year is going to be even better. PS Busted Suck.”

Busted rebuked, adding: "There’s been a lot of talk recently... This is where the talking ends...!

“We are ready to show who is the better band once and for all. McFly suck and Busted Rock!"

The bands will play at Leeds' First Direct Arena on September 27, 2025, with tickets going on sale on Friday, October 18 at 9am via the arena's website.
