Four Leeds Rhinos players – including three who were in contention to face St Helens tonight – have been named in Halifax’s squad for their game on Sunday.

Half-back Jack Sinfield, hooker Corey Johnson, forward Leon Ruan and centre Ned McCormack are all dual-registered for the Betfred Championship fixture at home to Doncaster. Sinfield started for Rhinos in their 26-0 defeat at Catalans two weeks ago, when Ruan and Johnson were among the substitutes.

McCormack was in the initial squad for that game, but not selected for the matchday 17. Johnson played on dual-registration for Panthers last week, when Rhinos were without a match.

Sinfield, Ruan and Johnson are all in Rhinos’ 21 for Friday’s Super League game at Saints. Halifax’s announcement suggests Matt Frawley will start in the halves alongside the returning Brodie Croft with prop Tom Nicholson-Watton getting some game off the bench, though Ben Littlewood – who has yet to make a first team appearance – is also in contention.
