The Whites are third in Group E with two games of their PL Cup group campaign remaining.
Leeds played out a 3-3 draw with second-placed Sunderland last time out in the tournament and would leapfrog the Black Cats into second spot with a draw or victory this evening.
Mark Jackson's side need to finish in the top two in the group to progress into the knockout stages. Tonight, they face a tough Wigan test who are unbeaten so far.

Wigan pressure
27. A deep free-kick into the area. It’s headed back across the Leeds box. A couple of swipes at it from the Latics but Leeds clear.
Wigan back level
28. Costello breaks into the Leeds box. He slips past Littlewood, takes a touch and drills a shot into the far corner of the net. Good finish just as the hosts had been ramping up the pressure a tad.
Good work from Gray
31. Leeds having to defend a little in the last few minutes. Gray does well, picks up the ball in his own half and turns. Past on and then another before being dragged back. Relieves the pressure.
Leeds attack
34. Good play from Miller. He gets down the right and finds Dean who makes his way into the box. The striker shoots but it’s curling away from goal. Better.
Good contest
37. Competitive game now. Leeds the far younger side, obviously, but they’re giving as much as they get. Gray and McGurk look lively. Miller always providing a threat down the right.
LEEDS CHANCE
41. Miller, again, down the right. Beats his man to deliver low. McGurk runs onto it and hits an effort to the corner but Tickle saves really well. Twice he’s denied the former Latic.
Wigan chance
43. Ferguson goes into the book for a late challenge on the far side. Wigan deliver to the near post but it’s headed well wide of the target.
