The Whites are third in Group E with two games of their PL Cup group campaign remaining.
Leeds played out a 3-3 draw with second-placed Sunderland last time out in the tournament and would leapfrog the Black Cats into second spot with a draw or victory this evening.
Mark Jackson's side need to finish in the top two in the group to progress into the knockout stages. Tonight, they face a tough Wigan test who are unbeaten so far.
