Rosenior out of Burnley manager race

Former Hull City boss Liam Rosenior is reportedly out of the running to become Burnley's new head coach. That's according to Football Insider, who claim Burnley are in the process of interviewing candidates as they edge towards making an appointment.

Rosenior was thought to be an option for the Clarets following his surprise dismissal by the Tigers, but it seems the Lancashire outfit are looking elsewhere. The report claims that both Frank Lampard and Carlos Corberan have been interviewed for the job, with the latter still in charge at West Bromwich Albion, of course,

Rosenior has been linked to roles at Plymouth Argyle and Sunderland this summer and according to reports he held initial talks with the Black Cats before focusing his attentions on the Burnley job. Sunderland have been looking for a manager since the decision was made to part ways with Michael Beale in February.

West Ham want Luton man

West Ham United are reportedly pushing to sign Luton Town goalkeeper Tim Krul on a free transfer this summer. Alan Nixon has that story, with the Hammers said to be considering a move for the Dutchman as he approaches the end of his deal at Kenilworth Road.

Krul joined Luton last summer but failed to make a Premier League appearance for the club with his six outings for last season coming in cup competitions. The 36-year-old is able to boast bags of experience, though, and the Hammers may well see him as someone capable of providing support within the club's goalkeeper ranks.

Boro make transfer decision

Middlesbrough look set to offload forward Matthew Hoppe this summer with the player not featuring in Michael Carrick's thoughts. Boro signed Hoppe in 2022 after watching him turn in encouraging showings at Schalke and Mallorca, but he has not progressed as the club would have hoped.

He has had loan spells at Hibernian and San Jose Earthquakes but according to the Northern Echo, the club are ready to offload him permanently and seeing him struggle to work his way up the pecking order.
