Wales confirm Harry Wilson decision after Leeds United injury absence vs Crystal Palace
The Welshman missed Leeds United’s 0-0 draw at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Leeds United winger Harry Wilson has officially dropped out of the Wales squad due to injury.
Wilson missed Sunday’s 0-0 draw at home to Crystal Palace after picking up a quad issue last week. Manager Daniel Farke confirmed the 29-year-old would sit out the Premier League clash and probably the upcoming international break.
“Sadly Harry Wilson is out for this game with a quad injury, some problems after last game,” Farke said on Friday. “He’ll also probably miss the Welsh games. I hope to have Harry Wilson back on the other side of the international break.”

Wilson was set to enter his first Wales camp as a Leeds player following his free transfer from Fulham in the summer. The winger was due to head down to Cardiff with teammates Ethan Ampadu, Daniel James and Jayden Lienou.
But he will instead spend the three-week break with Joe Rodon and the Leeds medical staff as he recovers from the quad injury. Wales confirmed on Monday the Leeds man was one of three internationals to withdraw from Craig Bellamy’s squad.
Former Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow has also withdrawn from the squad after a nightmare Carabao Cup debut defeat to Brighton as Manchester United shot-stopper last week. The 35-year-old was on the bench for his new club’s 1-1 draw at Fulham on Sunday.
Ampadu, James and Lienou remain part of a squad that will play four games in the next three weeks, all in the Nations League. Bellamy’s side face Denmark twice, also travelling to Portugal and hosting Norway.
The Welsh trio are among a dozen Leeds players jetting off for first-team international football. Other notable call-ups include England pair Dominic Calvert-Lewin and James Trafford, German midfielder Anton Stach and Bosnian Tarik Muharemovic.
