Paul Smith stated: “We knew this was coming when got promoted VAR favours certain teams.”

Matthew Davis: “Time to ditch VAR. Rather deal with inevitable refereeing/linesman mistakes than this. It is pathetic.”

Yvonne Lufc: “Football was great without VAR now it's ruined the game shame about the result yesterday Leeds.”

On Twitter, @Reads78 sad: It's so poor now it’s embarrassing, how is an arm an advantage, oh well guess the ref will get a slap on the wrist and nothing will be done as always, and we wait for the next one.”

@RichardRout: “The worst #VAR decision I have ever seen. Farcical. Surely the ref had the discretion not to make such a mind-boggling dim call.”

@bagpuss1809: “VAR and it rule makers are seriously making a mockery of the game now...to point and be offside cannot be and should not be allowed to happen anymore… stop this nonsense now!”
