FORMER Whites defender Tony Dorigo believes Leeds United are visiting Sheffield United at a good time but admits the "dogged" Blades will be tough opponents in Sunday's derby at Bramall Lane.

Leeds will head to Sheffield on the back of the club's first victory back in the Premier League via last weekend's 4-3 victory at home to Fulham which came after running champions Liverpool close in another 4-3 thriller at Anfield.

The Blades are still seeking their first positive result of the season with an opening weekend 2-0 loss at home to Wolves followed by Monday evening's 1-0 loss at Aston Villa.

Chris Wilder's side took the Premier League by storm upon promotion to the division last season when finishing ninth but Dorigo says there is no hiding the fact that the Blades have now lost five games in a row after ending the last campaign with three defeats in a row.

The former Whites left back has huge respect for Wilder's side and their achievements but the Australian says Marcelo Bielsa's Whites should arrive full of confidence with Sunday's derby coming at differing moments for the two sides.

"I think it's certainly a good time to go there," Dorigo told the YEP.

"It's okay to say it's not and that Sheffield United are going to bounce back and everything else but the plain facts are they have lost their last three games last season and they have lost their first two games this season so you can't tell me they are going to be absolutely full of confidence.

"Yes they are certainly going to be very determined and they will be working doubly hard this week et cetera.

"But so will we. We will be good, we will be organised, we won our last game and we should be going there with a positive attitude.

"One thing we won't be going there for is a draw, I think that's pretty clear.

"We are going to go there and really ask questions of them but we have got to be patient because certainly they are dogged and they have got Oli Burke now up top who has pace about him so we certainly don't want to get caught on the counter.

"The likes of Chris Basham are just incredible, where he has come from, how he has come up through the divisions and how he is playing in the Premier League.

"He goes from centre back to cover right midfield and then he wins a penalty and is up there on the right wing.

"I am thinking 'wow, you have got to be ready for anything.'

"But I just don't think they have got the absolute stardust to make things kind of happen but what they haven't got they certainly make up for in their willingness and organisation and understanding and how Chris Wilder wants them to play.

"They are going to be a tough, tough opponent, no doubt about that.

"But we should be going there with confidence and to give them a good game."
