Hernandez was forced to withdraw from the starting line up of last weekend’s clash at home to Fulham after picking up a groin strain in the warm-up meaning record signing Rodrigo came into the side in the no 10 role.

Whites head coach Marcelo Bielsa said the injury was not serious but the 35-year-old is still facing another two weeks out and either Rodrigo or Tyler Roberts will play instead of Hernandez in Sunday's Premier League clash at Bramall Lane.

"Pablo Hernandez still has two weeks of recovery before he can return," said Bielsa when speaking at his pre-match press conference.

"The team will largely be the same, the only possible alternative will be Roberts instead of Rodrigo."
