LEEDS United are firm favourites yet odds against to return to winning ways in tonight's Premier League hosting of Southampton whose Danny Ings is rated the clear main Saints goal threat.

Marcelo Bielsa's Whites are no bigger than 7-5 for victory but as short as 5-4 elsewhere whereas Ralph Hasenhuttl's Saints side can be backed at 12-5 to leave Elland Road with all three points.

The draw is on offer at 13-5 and Saints top scorer Ings is the only Southampton player in the top five in the first goalscorer market.

Ings tops that market alongside Whites no 9 Patrick Bamford with the duo both a best-priced 23-5 to score first.

Bamford is slightly shorter in the any time scorer market at 39-25, whereas Ings is 13-8.

As has been the case in recent weeks, young Whites duo Sam Greenwood and Joe Gelhardt again take very high rank in the first scorer market which sees the pair both at 8s.

United duo Raphinha and Tyler Roberts look better value at 19-2 each and in particular Raphinha who is 16-5 as an any time scorer.

After Ings, Daniel NLundulu and former Whites target Che Adams are rated the next most potent Saints goal threats as the duo are both 9s to net first, just ahead of Liverpool loanee Takumi Minamino at 19-2, fresh from his strike in Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Chelsea.

Whites trio Pablo Hernandez (10s), Jack Harrison (11s) and Helder Costa (11s) are next, followed by Saints set piece specialist James-Ward Prowse who could be a good price at 12-1 to score first and 4-1 any time.

Saints duo Nathan Redmond and Nathan Tella are both 13-1 to net first, followed by no goalscorer at 14s and then Southampton winger but injury doubt Stuart Armstrong who is 15s.

Whites midfielder Mateusz Klich is then next at 15s, just ahead of Southampton's Moussa Djenepo at 16s.

Lower down the order, Jamie Shackleton and Stuart Dallas are both 22s whereas Southampton's Jannik Vestergaard is 25s and 19-2 as an any time scorer which might warrant interest given his aerial prowess at set pieces.

Whites skipper Liam Cooper could have had a hat-trick from Raphinha's set pieces in Friday's 1-0 loss at Wolves and the United captain is 45-1 to score first and 17s any time.

Pascal Struijk is slightly shorter at 42-1 to score first and 16s as an any time scorer.

But whilst regular market leader a 1-1 draw is favourite in the correct score market at 7-1, Leeds are expected to come out on top with a 2-1 Whites triumph (9s) and 1-0 United win (12s) seen as the most likely outcomes involving a home victory.

A 2-1 success for the Saints is rated the away side's most likely method of gaining all three points at 12s.

But 7-5 about a Whites win looks a decent price given Southampton's recent struggles and Leeds are also shorter in the betting market to finish in the top half which sees United as 5-2 to finish in the top ten and the Saints at 9-2.

Neither side are considered by the bookmakers to be in any danger of going down as Leeds are still 200-1 for the drop, double the price of the Saints.

Sheffield United (1-50) and West Brom (1-16) are considered doomed but Fulham are now only evens to go down having taken eight points out of a last possible 12.

The bookies think it's Blades, Baggies and one out of Fulham and Newcastle going down with the Magpies now only 30-17 for the drop.

Thereafter, Burnley (8s), Brighton (25s) and Crystal Palace (30s) are all seen as more likely than Southampton or Leeds and Wolves are the only other team being widely quoted but available at 250s.
