Adverts for Players Please, Walls ice cream, Robin cigarettes, Evening Post, St Bruno, flake tobbacco, and many more are visible outside the shop. Part of a series taken above ground for Middleton Outfall Sewer in August 1953. Looking north-north-east from Derbyshire Street. On the right the side of Hunslet Nursery; to the left an electricity sub station. Between these, a telegraph pole and wall bordering a track with grass and hedge to the side of the nursery. A boy is playing on a second pole, with a girl standing next to him. Behind the wall is the front three-quarter view of a terrace of houses on Iveridge Street. Back-to-back terraced buildings at the rear of Garr's Terrace in November 1958. The ginnel on the right of number 5 has been sealed off while the one between numbers 11 and 13 is still open and allows access from Garr's Terrace. Each property has a small grassed area with a shared outside toilet (visible on the left) located at the end of the garden. A tin bath is visible hung on the exterior wall of number 21 on the left.
