Saturday, November 7

Looking ahead to Saturday, the Met Office is once again forecasting an overcast day. People in Leeds should expect it to be grey and cloudy throughout with a slight chance of rain around 4pm.

It is predicted to be slightly cooler on Saturday with temperatures reaching a maximum of 10C. The warmest part of the day will be between 12pm and 5pm, while the mercury will only drop as low as 7C.

Sunday, November 8

For anyone heading out to Remembrance Sunday events in Leeds, there is set to be a bit of sunshine on November 8. According to the Met Office forecast, sunny intervals are expected throughout the day.

A mix of sunshine and clouds are currently being predicted, arriving from 8am after an overcast start to the day. Temperatures are expected to be in line with the rest of the weekend, with highs of 10C.

However, there is a chance it will feel a bit cooler, as Leeds could get as cold as 5C in parts of the day. Rain is not currently predicted for Sunday.

Forecast beyond the weekend

In its longer range forecast from Tuesday, November 10 to Thursday, November 19, the Met Office predicts: “High pressure begins to migrate away to the east allowing frontal systems to progress into the UK from the southwest, although exactly how much progress into the UK this makes is uncertain.

“However there is a greater chance that at least the southern half of the UK will see a change to milder and wetter conditions, at least for a time, while the north is more likely to remain drier. Toward the end of next week we may start to see some colder conditions spread from the north.

“While the nature of this colder outbreak is very uncertain, it could bring some wintry showers to the northern UK briefly. Thereafter, a transition towards a westerly flow is likely, bringing changeable conditions with rain more likely focused towards the north west.”
