"It's just not" - Leeds United fans in disagreement on Tottenham clash with call for change

Leeds United’s fans have their say on Saturday’s visit of Tottenham.

Leeds United will sign off for the November international break with Saturday’s lunchtime visit of Tottenham Hotspur - but what do the club’s fans think? Here is what our YEP Jury have had tp say with disagreement on the predictions front and a front line call for change.

DAVID WATKINS

This prediction lark doesn’t get any easier, does it?

Next up, we have Tottenham visiting Elland Road and, while a couple of weeks ago they were languishing near the bottom without a win to their name, now they have overtaken Leeds after three on the trot.

Two of those wins came against Crystal Palace and Coventry, neither of which necessarily shows they have found their inner Barcelona, but the third was an eye-catching 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge, which made everyone sit up and take notice.

Okay, we pushed Chelsea all the way recently in a cup game, but we also failed to beat Palace a few weeks ago, our first result that really disappointed.

We followed that with draws against Manchester United and Sunderland, which, on recent form, we ought to have won.

We looked better against Bournemouth last time out but threw away the points with a first-half calamity and too many wayward passes, so it’s hard to know what sort of nick we are in at the moment.

I’m erring on the positive, believing that we can get through a game without more disastrous errors and, if we can, and with some luck, then I’m sure we’ll be competitive.

Prediction: Leeds United 2 Tottenham Hotspur 1.

“I’d really like to see Daniel Farke change the system, especially up front”

Leeds play Spurs on Saturday on the back of a defeat at Bournemouth and disappointing displays against Sunderland and Man United at home.

Both were games we could, and maybe should, have won if we’d been a bit braver in attack. It’s just not clicking in the final third.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin needs help and some support to get a goal his displays recently have deserved.

Spurs on the other hand have won three on the spin and now sit above Leeds in the table.

It seems they have turned the corner and put their disappointing early season form behind them.

They have a really good squad with injured players returning so Saturday will be a tough test.

Joe Rodon could be in contention as he is back in training.

I’d really like to see Daniel Farke change the system, especially up front.

Maybe with Okafor, if fit, on the left, and Wilson on the right, we may get better service to Calvert-Lewin and with that improve the chances of scoring a goal or two.

Hopefully this weekend we can get a much-needed win.

Prediction: Leeds United 2 Tottenham Hotspur 1.

The defeat at Bournemouth has produced a lot of navel gazing and worry because when you’re looking down, the outcome is rarely positive.

The spectre of the ‘second season syndrome’ has reappeared.

Burnley never got the chance to experience it but they’re struggling in the Championship, Sunderland are definitely suffering from it and United....?

Prior to the Bournemouth game, the outlook seemed broadly positive despite our lack of firepower.

Can things change so rapidly after a result that was ruined by a hairline VAR decision and a daft goalkeeping error?

Daniel Farke will be working on his charges to banish such negativity and if anyone can achieve this, he is the man who can.

Unsurprisingly, after a terrible start, Spurs are now sitting in ninth position with one more point than the Whites but this is only to be expected as the fixture list seems to be producing a number of opponents who are coming into form when they play against us.

A win, especially at Elland Road is long overdue and having consulted my Tarot Cards and magic beans, that's what I'm going for.

Prediction: Leeds United 2 Tottenham Hotspur 1.

EVAN SEAMAN

This Saturday, Leeds United welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Elland Road anticipating a very difficult game, as they look to end their five-match winless run.

Since that thumping victory against Newcastle when they won 4-1, you could say that Leeds have been somewhat disappointing after failing to score against Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth.

Whereas for Spurs, it seems that they have turned a corner recently after winning their last three on the bounce including some impressive victories against Chelsea and Coventry.

In terms of team news, the Whites are currently monitoring the fitness of Joe Rodon, Noah Okofor, Anton Stach and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

But for Spurs, their injury list is somewhat bigger.

They will be without Xavi Simons and Mykhailo Mudryk. Rodrigo Bentancur is also suspended.

Spurs currently sit ninth in the table on 12 points and will be hoping they can leapfrog into those European spots.

As for Leeds, they are 12th at the moment on 11 points and may be starting to look over their shoulders if they do not get a positive result.

Prediction: Leeds United 1 Tottenham Hotspur 2.

NEIL GREWER

There has been in upsurge in negativity since last Saturday’s result, but I believe that result hinged on a few centimetres on the ricochet of the ball leading to an unlucky, but correct VAR decision followed by an uncharacteristic mistake by James Trafford.

Small margins. We suffered a loss from a game where we were in control up to Trafford’s faux pas which changed the game – so let’s not be too despondent.

If we keep working hard, the luck will change. Dan James and Harry Wilson caused Bournemouth problems so there are positives to take into Saturday’s game.

Sure, Leeds need to score more often and Daniel Farke needs to tweak this somehow, but the underlying defensive set up is sound.

Unfortunately, Spurs have turned a corner and are now getting results, albeit their attackers are not prolific in front of goal.

Leeds do need a win to prevent falling down the table but recent performances (excluding the wind-impacted game at Sunderland) have not been bad.

I am hopeful that Farke will shuffle his pack to create a slightly different dynamic to produce goals but ultimately I predict a draw.

Prediction: Leeds United 1 Tottenham Hotspur 1.
