Photo gallery: Historic Farsley - the Leeds village mentioned in the Domesday Book


It is mentioned in the 1086 Domesday Book as Ferselleia.
And during the industrial revolution Farsley was a centre for wool processing.
It’s most famous export is arguably Samuel Marsden, a Church of England priest and pioneer of the Australian wool industry who is believed to have introduced Christianity to New Zealand.
