Lucy Battle, 20, was trying to give away her old two seater couch when she accidentally included a picture of her seven-month-old son Oscar on a Facebook post.

She thought she had only posted pictures of the brown sofa but didn’t realise that she included little Oscar smiling in the post offering the couch for free.

And she was instantly inundated with comments from people inquiring about his behaviour and how he played with other children.

Sarah Wilkinson commented: "How's he at washing up?"

Tom Howell joked: "What's he like with other babies?"

One mum even offered a swap deal, posting: "How bout a two for one swap? Teenager 14, brother 6 and I will throw in the father for free?"

But Lucy was able to see the funny side - and managed to shift the sofa.

She said: “I posted a picture of my old sofa on Facebook because I got a new one and I needed the old one gone as soon as possible, so I thought I’d give it away to someone who needs it.

“I was going through my pictures on my camera roll on my phone and I must have selected one of Oscar.

“At first I was confused as to what people were saying in the comments, then I looked at the post and the main picture was one of him.

“I was so embarrassed – and I couldn’t even delete it.”

Lucy posted the pictures in a local Facebook group for items for sale last month.

But her post went viral when people flooded it with the hilarious comments.

She added: "I just thought 'oh no, that's so embarrassing'.

"Luckily everyone made a joke about it.

"I was overwhelmed by how much everybody wanted him.

"The person that came to collect the sofa didn't make an offer for him though, they just wanted the couch."
