Leeds team news

Nico Elvedi returned to training this week after missing last Sunday’s trip to Sunderland through illness and is back available along with striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and winger Noah Okafor who both recovered from injuries to feature against the Black Cats.

Calvert-Lewin had been a doubt to face Sunderland due to a bruised foot suffered in the 1-1 draw at home to Manchester United but Calvert-Lewin started against the Black Cats and played 85 minutes of the goalless draw.

Okafor had been a doubt having experienced adductor issues on the back of the draw against the Red Devils but Okafor was named on the bench and brought on midway through the second half. Both players trained as normal this week.

Anton Stach has still been struggling with his foot injury this week, casting doubt about his availability to face the Cherries.

Stach, though, took to his Instagram page on Saturday morning to post one of his creative matchday graphics to his story which is usually but not always a sign of a player being involved.

Like Calvert-Lewin and Okafor, Stach had also been a doubt to face Sunderland but the German midfielder made the bench at the Stadium of Light and was brought on at the same time as Okafor.

Centre-back Joe Rodon was part-integrated back into team training on Wednesday for the first time since suffering a serious hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw at home to Brentford at the end of August but this weekend’s game is expected to come too soon.

Predicted Leeds line up: Trafford; Bogle, Justin, Elvedi, Muharemovic, Gudmundsson; Ampadu, Tanaka, Stach; Okafor, Calvert-Lewin.
