This Leeds hotel has received 140 1-star reviews on Tripadvisor, with one recent guest calling it "the worst hotel I have ever stayed in." And another labelling it "dirty, smelly, unfriendly" with "unhelpful staff".
Over 50% of the guests who have stayed in Wheelgate Guesthouse rated it with one star. One guest warned that "sleeping in your car is a better option," while another complained that "the bedding was urine stained."
York is a popular holiday destination for travellers, but for some guests at Blossoms, accommodation didn't deliver. The B&B received over 150 one-star reviews, with one reading "Cheap and dirty. Cobweb city!"

Over 100 guests rated the Old Grey Mare one star. One promised to "never stay here again," while another traveller said their room was "disgusting with thick dust, rotten woodwork [and a] rusty radiator."
All the guests who have stayed at the Carlton Hotel so far have given it just one star. One reviewer called it "horrendous," advising that the hotel needs "a good clean, money spent and a new manager who cares about the guests."
This Hull hotel has an average of 3 stars on Tripadvisor, with a couple of guests complaining of noise coming from the pub below. "there was loud music from the pub until closing time," wrote one unhappy traveller.
One of the upset guests at The Crown Inn gave it one star, writing "this hotel was not of any quality; graffiti everywhere, no safe parking, everything needs redecorating."
In spite of what its name might suggest, many guests at The Grand did not have a premium stay. The hotel has almost 3,000 one-star reviews, with one recent review warning others "Atrocious please DONT book here."
Many guests at The George Hotel complained of filthy rooms in their one star reviews, with one writing "Breakfast was a joke. Had to ask for crockery. Even then finding a clean cup was a challenge."
One disgruntled guest at the Metro Inns in Huddersfield called it "cheap and nasty," adding that the "bed was lumpy" and the "pillows werent comfy either."
