Staff at the Dogs Trust Leeds rehoming centre in Leeds are hoping to find permanent, loving families for 22 unique dogs currently in their care.
The rescue residents currently waiting for adoption represent a wide range of breeds, ages, and backgrounds. The list includes everything from intelligent, high-energy crossbreeds ready for active training to gentle senior companions looking to spend their retirement years in a peaceful, quiet household.
Each dog has its own specific rehoming criteria - such as requiring an adult-only environment, a secure garden for off-lead play, or dedicated owners willing to continue ongoing training and socialisation.
If you are considering welcoming a new companion into your life, look through our gallery below to see all 22 dogs currently available for adoption in Leeds.

1. Bonzo (Staffordshire Bull Cross Terrier - 6-12 months)
This friendly youngster is described by centre staff as an absolute angel who gets sweeter and snugglier the better he knows you. He is highly dog-social and could happily share a home with a similar four-legged friend, and he is also suitable to live with confident, older children who are comfortable around large, energetic dogs. | Dogs Trust Leeds

2. Oreo (Retriever (Labrador) Cross - 2-5 years)
This absolute sweetheart is a beautiful two-year-old Labrador and German Shepherd crossbreed who is currently thriving in a foster home. Oreo is fully house-trained and loves to balance playful toy time with a good snuggle on the sofa. While she will need owners who are around all the time initially to help her settle, she can happily live with primary and secondary school-aged children. | Dogs Trust Leeds

3. Zuko (Terrier (Jack Russell) - 8+ years)
This handsome gentleman is an adorable, super-friendly boy who still has tons of life in him and a playful nature, especially when it comes to his toys. Because he has been through a lot, Zuko is looking for a peaceful, adult-only home through no fault of his own, where he can relax during his twilight years. While he has a minor heart murmur, it is fully under control and shouldn't overshadow what a wonderful, affectionate companion he will make. | Dogs Trust Leeds

4. Gino
This smart, food-loving lad adores people, is friendly with everyone he meets, and has earned a huge fan club at the centre due to his incredible personality. He will suit an active home with adopters who are ready for fun adventures and ongoing training, which he picks up quickly. Because he is a big, energetic boy who is still working on his doggie manners, he needs to be the only pet in the home, but he can happily live with confident, secondary school-aged children. | Dogs Trust Leeds

5. Teddy (Pug Cross - 5-7 years)
This fun, bouncy six-year-old Pug and French Bulldog cross is a super affectionate bundle of love with heaps of personality. Teddy is currently thriving in a foster home and is looking for an active family who will be around a lot initially to help him settle in. He can happily live with secondary school-aged children but needs to be the only pet in the home for now. | Dogs Trust leeds

6. Benji (Pug - 5-7 years)
Currently enjoying life in a foster home where he is fully house-trained, Benji is super friendly and is looking for an adult-only family who can offer him plenty of patience and a good routine. He will need any time left alone to be built up gradually from scratch while he settles in, but he has plenty of love to give and could potentially share his new home with a similar, friendly doggie companion. | Dogs Trust Leeds
