Leeds ranks above Manchester for office costs, research finds
Leeds is the most expensive of four Northern cities in a new UK office cost ranking, with desks costing more than in Manchester.
A new report from FreeOfficeFinder compared average monthly desk prices in private serviced offices across 19 selected UK towns and cities.
Leeds ranks seventh nationally at £343 per desk a month, compared with £326 in Manchester, £262 in Liverpool, and £209 in Newcastle.

According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), more than a quarter of working adults in the UK split their working week between home and the workplace.
Since the Coronavirus pandemic, attendance patterns have shifted heavily in favour of a hybrid-working model for numerous businesses.
“Where you base your business, and even which part of the city, can make a difference of hundreds of pounds a month,” said Nick Riesel, Managing Director of FreeOfficeFinder.
“It pays to compare before you sign.”
Financial and professional services account for around 40% of Leeds’ total economic output, according to Leeds City Council.
