Leeds city centre restaurant named as finalist in British Kebab Awards
Two Bradford-based restaurants were also nominated
A restaurant in Leeds city centre has been named among the finalists at the British Kebab Awards.
Döner Summer, located on Call Lane, was one of 11 candidates nominated in the category of Best Vegan Kebab and is the only Leeds restaurant to have been nominated.
Mezza and Nusret Shawarma, both based in Bradford, were also nominated in the categories of Best Lebanese Restaurant and/or Takeaway and Best Takeaway - North of England respectively.

A record-breaking 283 businesses have reached the final across 22 categories, following more than 6,000 nominations and 40,000 public votes.
From independent family-run favourites to much-loved restaurant groups, they represent the brilliant kebab businesses and people serving communities across the UK.
They were selected from a field of almost 500 semi-finalists, with public support and the judges’ assessments helping to shape this year’s awards.
The awards ceremony is due to be held at the Park Plaza Hotel on Westminster Bridge, London on February 23, 2027.
