Leeds United star drops hint of big boost and Sunderland involvement amid injury doubts
A big hint from a Leeds United star amid injury doubts.
Leeds United star Anton Stach has dropped a big hint of Sunderland involvement amid the big trio of injury doubts for Daniel Farke’s Whites.
Whites boss Farke revealed at Friday’s pre-match press conference that Stach, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor were all carrying injuries ahead of Sunday’s trip to Sunderland and that none of the trio would have been able to play had the game been on Friday.
Calvert-Lewin suffered a bruised foot following a challenge from Diogo Dalot in last weekend’s 1-1 draw at home to Manchester United whilst Stach was also left with a foot problem on the back of the match against the Red Devils.
Okafor, meanwhile, said Farke, had been struggling with adductor problems after the Roses derby, the Whites boss particularly cautious about Okafor’s issue in being a muscular injury unlike Calvert-Lewin and Stach’s issues.
None of the trio were ruled out, Farke highlighting the positive of having two more days until facing the Black Cats at the Stadium of Light.
In what appears an early boost, Stach took to social media on Sunday morning to post another of his creative matchday graphics which is usually although not always a sign that a player is part of the matchday squad.
Ahead of the clash against the Black Cats, this time the German posted an image of himself dressed up as Batman in front of a newspaper advertising Sunday’s game.
