The annual guide, released by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) and on sale today, offers an insight into pubs, bars and clubs. It highlights venues selected by its members "as places to savour good beers from small breweries as well as cask-conditioned lagers and world beers and some pubs are highlighted for serving real ciders too".Here are 10 of the Leeds bars that feature in the 50th edition of the guide and what CAMRA said about each of them.

CAMRA said: "Thornbridge Brewery bar with a variety of seating surrounding the central bar. Features include a stained glass window to the right hand side of the bar and quirky cat portraits. Downstairs is additional seating in the old bank vault which still has the old vault door." Photo: NW

10. Assembly Underground, Civic Court
CAMRA said: "A clever refurbishment of the basement of a Grade II Listed Building has created a food and drink hall which features a Vocation Brewery bar with fifty taps, street food stalls, and a coffee bar.
