A piece of the past - a 100 year old castle shaped gatepost - was planted in the grounds of Castleton Primary.
29. September 1982
Leeds's biggest sport centre at Carr Crofts, Armley, was opened by West Leeds MP Joe Dean. The centre is an extension of the old Armley Baths which had also been given a facelift.
30. March 1993
An estate agent was inundated with calls after offering the 'sale of the century' - a house on Aviary View in Armley for just over 6,000. The one bedroomed back to back was vacant after being repossesed and was in need of some TLC.
