This was the Sacred Hearts Parish Men's Club, the Catholic Church is back from the building line on the left. The Post Office was number 227. The public house at the corner with Willow Road is the Burley Hotel. The zebra crossing allowed children to cross Burley Road in safety to reach Burley Lawn School.
