Burley Road in October 1959. To the left, at the corner with Olive Grove is the former Burley Lawn Methodist Chapel. It was being used as a print works by Walter Gardham Ltd, a notice on the door reads 'Rathmell and Oxley, Photolitho Ltd'. Moving right, number 211 Burley Road is a small house with one window to each floor. Next 213 has a porch with the name 'Dr Kelly Surgeon'. Burley Road in October 1959. On the left, at the corner with Roberts Place is Burley Liberal Club. After this building was demolished a new club was built a short distance away at the corner of Willow Road and Burley Road. Moving right are numbers 187, 189 which is a tobacconists shop, then 191 a newsagents, business of L and B Terrill. Burley Road on the left edge the junction with Hyde Park Road can just be seen in the centre. The large house was numbers 195/197 Burley Road, several doctors are listed as having surgeries there Geoffrey Burchell, J.G.B. Platta and A. Barrett.
