Wakefield occupational therapists wins award

Wakefield based OT4Life has been recognised as Small Healthcare Business of the Year after receiving the Yorkshire Prestige Award, following a nomination from a former client whose life was significantly improved through the service.

The nomination was shortlisted from a pool of healthcare providers across the region before OT4Life was selected as the winner.

OT4Life was created to fill a growing gap in access to timely occupational therapy. The service delivers practical rehabilitation, mobility support, complex seating assessments, housing advice and workplace return to work support directly in homes, care facilities and community settings across West Yorkshire.

The team also supports highly meaningful requests that many people do not associate with occupational therapy. This includes arranging specialist seating and safe transport for weddings, final visits with loved ones, and helping people attend important family events such as Christmas gatherings.

OT4Life is also known for its unique training programmes for both staff and residents in care homes, empowering people to understand their mobility, prevent falls and stay independent. Care homes report that the sessions are among the most engaging and practical they have received in years.

With a growing reputation and strong community presence, OT4Life continues to demonstrate what occupational therapy can achieve when it is delivered with passion, integrity and a focus on real people and real lives.
