Wakefield charities receive donation of 300 essential hygiene kits
Over 300 hygiene kits of essential items were packed and donated to two Wakefield charities by the team at Amazon in the city.
The donation of hygiene kits was made to Wakefield Street Kitchen (WSK) and Wakefield District City of Sanctuary.

Wakefield Street Kitchen is a charity and food bank offering food, clothing and support to people impacted by homeless and those in need in and near the city. WSK runs a food bank and a meals on wheels service delivering hot, nutritious meals to people in need.
Wakefield District City of Sanctuary is part of the national City of Sanctuary movement. The charity supplies shoes and clothing, operates a food store, and offers advice and social opportunities that promote and encourage the inclusion of refugees and sanctuary seekers.
Jake Donson from Amazon in Wakefield said: “Basic hygiene items are essential for dignity and health, and we know that Wakefield Street Kitchen and City of Sanctuary will ensure these supplies reach the people who need them most. It's rewarding to know we can make a difference right here in Wakefield.”
Mohammad Al Johmani from Wakefield City of Sanctuary added: “Hygiene products are always in high demand among the people we support, but they're often overlooked when people think about donations.
"Having access to these necessities helps restore dignity and confidence for individuals who are already facing enormous challenges. We're incredibly grateful to Amazon's team for thinking of us and for their ongoing commitment to helping vulnerable members of our community.”
