Slimming World Consultant Completes Second Mighty Hike for Macmillan
Leigh-Anne White, a Slimming World Consultant from Wakefield, has completed her second Macmillan Mighty Hike, raising more than £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
On Saturday July 18, Leigh-Anne and her sister, Sarah, took on the 26-mile Peak District Mighty Hike to raise money for the charity, which supports people living with cancer and their families.

This was Leigh-Anne's second year taking part in the challenge. After completing the hike on her own last year, she was pleased to have her sister alongside her this time, making the experience even more memorable.

Leigh-Anne said: "The Mighty Hike is a real test, but it's nothing compared to the challenges faced by people living with cancer every day. Having Sarah with me this year made the day even more special, and knowing we were raising money for Macmillan kept us going from start to finish. We can't thank everyone enough for their generosity and support."
More than £200 of the fundraising total came from members of Leigh-Anne's Slimming World groups at West Wakefield Methodist Church. Her members, who attend sessions on Mondays at 5.30pm and 7.00pm, and Saturdays at 8.30am, 10.00am and 11.30am, rallied behind the sisters with donations and messages of support throughout their training and on the day of the event.
Leigh-Anne and Sarah would like to thank everyone who donated, shared their fundraising page or wished them luck. Their support has helped the sisters raise more than £1,000, with every penny going towards Macmillan's work supporting people affected by cancer.
