Leeds slimming expert honoured with Community Impact Award

Caroline Sykes, 53, who leads the Rothwell Slimming World group at Rothwell Baptist Church each week, received the award at a celebration event held at Slimming World’s Head Office in Derbyshire.

Over the past year alone, Caroline has supported more than 40 members to achieve their personal target weights, with many more well on their way. Her commitment has transformed lives across the community, inspiring confidence, improving health, and creating a supportive environment where success is celebrated.

Caroline shared “This award is really for my members. They’ve reached for the stars with their weight losses! Together, we’ve achieved incredible results, and the improvements in health and wellbeing have been life-changing.”

In addition to the Community Impact Award, Caroline was also presented with Slimming World’s Gold Award earlier this year, recognising her as one of the most successful Consultants across the UK and Ireland.

Reflecting on the celebration day, Caroline said “It was an absolute honour to be invited. Meeting other Consultants who share the same passion for supporting people was so special. Hearing the incredible achievements of members across the UK and Ireland was truly moving, and knowing my group is part of that success makes me so proud.”

Caroline’s passion for helping others stems from her own journey. Having lost five stone with Slimming World, she knows first-hand the challenges of weight loss. Inspired by her transformation, she launched her own Slimming World group 14 years ago and has since built a thriving community where members feel supported, celebrated, and empowered to achieve their goals.

“Running my group is the most rewarding role in the world. Watching members reach milestones and celebrating their success together is simply incredible. This award makes it even more special.”

Caroline warmly welcomes anyone who wants to lose weight and improve their health – including those using weight loss injections. Offering guidance to build sustainable habits and maintain long-term success. Her groups are held at Rothwell Baptist Church, LS26 0PG every Thursday morning, starting at 7.30am, 9am and 11am

Caroline is now looking to expand her team of Consultants across Rothwell, Crossgates, and Lofthouse.
