Leeds Hospitals Trust ask patients to have say on stay

Leeds Hospitals is asking for feedback on hospital stays as part of the national Adult Inpatient Survey.

Anyone who stayed in one of the hospitals that are part of Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust during November 2025, may receive an invite to take part in the survey.

A Trust spokesperson said: "It’s your opportunity to give feedback on the quality of care and treatment you received and help change NHS services for the better."

Hospitals include Leeds General Infirmary, St James’s University Hospital, Chapel Allerton Hospital, Wharfedale Hospital, and others.

The survey is carried out by the Care Quality Commission and a dedicated Survey Coordination Centre at Picker.

Surveys will be sent to people from January through to April this year, as part of a major nationwide survey on people’s experiences as an inpatient.

The spokesperson added: "If you are invited to take part, you will receive a letter with information on how to complete the survey online using a computer, tablet or your mobile phone.

"If you prefer to complete the survey on paper, you can choose for a paper questionnaire to be sent out to your address.

"Participation will not affect your care in any way. The survey is confidential, and your answers will not be shared with our staff."

The results will be published in the summer of 2026 and will be used to assess NHS trusts in England.

"If you had an overnight stay in a Leeds hospital during November 2025, please look out for your letter, have your say, and make a difference to your local hospital services here in Leeds," added the spokesperson.

The NHS Adult Inpatient Survey has Section 251 (NHS Act 2006) approval to process contact details.
