Leader at Leeds-based care tech provider shortlisted as finalist in Yorkshire Leadership Awards 2026
The Managing Director of a Garforth-based care home software provider has been named a finalist in the prestigious Yorkshire Leadership Awards 2026.
Fiona Hale, Managing Director at CoolCare, has been shortlisted in the ‘Transformational Leader’ category, placing her among the region’s most inspiring business figures, where she’ll come up against seven other finalists for the accolade.

Fiona was recognised for her role in driving “extraordinary growth and innovation” at the care home software provider.
Since taking the helm in 2017, she has helped guide CoolCare to a 297 per cent increase in turnover, in addition to capturing a 14 per cent share of the total market.
Beyond financial metrics, the nomination acknowledges Fiona’s commitment to operational excellence and company culture. She successfully led the migration of all customers to a new platform while maintaining an industry-leading average monthly customer retention rate of over 99.8 per cent.
Commenting on the shortlisting, Fiona said: “I’m incredibly honoured to be recognised alongside such talented leaders from across Yorkshire. This nomination is really a testament to the hard work and passion of the entire CoolCare team.
“We have been on a journey to not only transform our own business but to champion digital transformation across the social care sector. To see those efforts recognised by the Yorkshire business community is a proud moment for all of us in Garforth.”
CoolCare, which has been making administration easier for care homes for over three decades, employs 36 people at its Garforth headquarters.
Its company purpose is to make running care homes easier, more efficient and more profitable, giving operators more time and resource to spend on delivering quality care.
The Yorkshire Leadership Awards celebrate authentic leadership, honouring individuals who not only drive business success but also inspire their teams and create a positive impact across their sector.
The winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony at the Royal Armouries in Leeds on March 12, 2026.
