"The festival prides itself on providing a platform for local businesses, creatives, performers, photographers to showcase their work,” explained Morning Star, organiser of Leeds Cabaret and Burlesque Festival.

"The Wardrobe has been incredibly supportive in enabling us to develop a creative hub to make cabaret more accessible, and showcase touring productions and events that may not have the opportunity to be seen in Leeds.”

Falling on Pride weekend, the festival will also give a platform to some fantastic LGBTQIA+ performers through a series of drag performances, musical shows and art.

"The show is eclectic and diverse, we have something for everyone: drag, comedy, singers and burlesque,” said Morning.

"We have a little bit of everything to give everyone an authentic variety.”

During Saturday day time people can enter the festival for free to browse an independent market featuring local creatives including Molly Pukes, A Sense of Hew Ma and Nick Gonzo.

By night the venue will be transformed into a house of burlesque, hosting the likes of Uma Shadow, Bella Curve and Jada Love, all presented by renowned drag queen Dolly Trolley.

Local vendors Grants of Leeds, Peacock Pretties and Photogarland will also be in attendance on Saturday night, with Dolly on the decks spinning classic anthems until late.

Sunday closes the festival with the Teatime Tassel Off burlesque contest, as well as a special performance by Lady Blue Phoenix that addresses global issues on race, discrimination and equality.

“We really cannot wait to bring the biggest burlesque and cabaret party to Leeds,” Morning went on to say.

"It’s been a long time coming and we are armed with confetti, sparkles a spectacularly fierce line-up of international superstars. People are travelling far and wide to entertain the city and it’s going to be a blast!”
