Competitors from across the country braved the torrential to get to The Halfway House on Leeds and Bradford Road in Stanningley on Saturday (October 21) to go head to head in a set of arm wrestling competitions billed as the ‘Yorkshire Cup’.
Organiser Dan Hanlon said: “It went as good as it could have. Everyone who came enjoyed it and we are already looking forward to next year’s.”
He said that there was a great atmosphere throughout the day as spectators enjoyed the showdowns and the food put on by the pub’s landlord Christine Clark.
