Leeds Festival gives major update after closure of The Warehouse stage on Saturday
The stage had been closed on Saturday afternoon
Leeds Festival has just made a major announcement following the closure of The Warehouse stage on Saturday.
The new dance music tent was closed during the early afternoon at Bramham Park. While organisers are yet to officially confirm the reason for the shutdown, Dutch DJ Julian Fijma has said the tent was closed during his set due to capacity concerns.
Acts due to perform later in the day took to social media to share their disappointment at the decision.

On Sunday shortly after noon, Leeds Festival has confirmed that The Warehouse stage would reopen, despite a delay.
Jack Marlow, who was due to open the tent at noon, will now start his set at 12.30pm.
A push notification on the Leeds Festival app reads: “Jack Marlow will be playing at The Warehouse at 12:30pm today.”
Sheffield DJ Silva Bumpa, who is expected to draw huge crowds, is still scheduled to start at 1.30pm on the Leeds Festival app.
Responding to the closure of the stage yesterday, Dutch DJ Julian Fijima, who was on stage at the time, explained to his followers in an Instagram story: “Leeds, little update. Unfortunately we had to shut the stage down.
“There was way too many people outside and yeah, we couldn’t keep going. But I’ll be back soon.
“Thank you so much for the energy, enjoy the festival and see you then.”
Locky, who had his set cancelled, posted: “Leeds Fest, stage has been shut down. Gutted. I’ll b (be) back soon.”
Meanwhile Alisha, who was due to perform on Saturday, also confirmed her set had been cancelled. In a post on Instagram, she added: “Set is officially cancelled due to safety of the stage.
“So sorry Leeds Festival, it’s not the DJs fault. I’m absolutely gutted.”
An Oxfam volunteer told the YEP reporters at the festival: “My understanding of it is that the tent was very full, people were not playing ball, and the decision was made to stop the show so no one got hurt.”
