Taking centre stage just a short walk from Leeds Train Station, the market promises more than 60 beautifully decorated chalets and an improved layout. Visitors can look forward to browsing a fantastic selection of artisan gifts, indulging in classic treats like Bratwurst sausages and seasonal food and drink, and, of course, sipping on traditional Glühwein.
Councillor Jonathan Pryor, Leeds City Council’s deputy leader and executive member for economy, transport and sustainable development, captured the city's excitement, stating: “Christmas in Leeds is always such a special time.
“It’s also a huge time for our local economy, attracting hundreds of thousands of people to the city centre and creating a unique buzz for everyone visiting Leeds. We’re excited to be welcoming Christmas back to Leeds this November and hope this gives the whole city something to look forward to.”

How do I get to Leeds Christmas Markets in 2025?

By bus
Those who are looking to attend this year’s Christmas Markets from one of the surrounding areas of Leeds, the best bus stop to travel to would be any of those that fall on either Wellington Street, near the train station (coming from West Leeds), or one of the bus stops on Boar Lane (if coming from East Leeds).
There will be road closures in effect, and parking/traffic is set to be incredibly busy across the market season, so we do suggest organising your trip with the First Bus Leeds journey planner.
By train
Those coming from outside of Leeds by train - it’s a nice and easy route for yourselves once again this year.
Leave Leeds Train Station out of the main entrance/exit, and follow the footpath up past The Queens Hotel. City Square is directly in front of you, and with all the illuminations that will be lighting up the city sky, your beacon is only a few footsteps away.
You really shouldn’t be able to miss it - hopefully!
By car/taxi/private hire
If you really must get to the Leeds Christmas Markets by car, taxi or private hire, then your best bet is to either pick up or drop off away from the main market thoroughfare.
You can look at dropping off or picking up around Leeds Train Station’s car park, or if you need to park, a number of pay-and-display car parks are available close by.
Our recommendation, should it not be too busy, is the Trinity Leeds Car Park, but be warned - with ongoing roadworks taking place and the time of the year being peak for traffic in the city centre, plan.
